Strike Hard Productions will head to Montgomery Alabama for their 55th installment and with it comes a huge fight card with a stellar main event. David Elder was almost giddy when talking about his headliner as Will Brooks comes in to meet Taurean Bogguess on March 28th.
The former Bellator lightweight champion comes into the after a run in PFL and UFC. Brooks was highly successful early in his career fighting in and around Chicago. A big victory in Japan at Dream 18 in 2012 catapulted him into Bellator where he worked his way to an interim title win and then winning the vacant championship before defending his belt twice. The 33 year old Brooks is savvy veteran with a wealth of experience and clout as he comes into the B2 Fighting Series. He is 2-1-1(draw) in his last four fights. He is currently the number one ranked lightweight in the B2FS Rankings.
Taurean “Tory” Bogguess rose through the same circles as Brooks. The two actually met early in their careers. Brooks got the win back in 2012. Bogguess is also a Bellator veteran as well as a B2 Fighting Series fight group alumni as he fought for Pinnacle Combat on several occasions. Tory is a submission artist with 14 wins coming that way. The 35 year old hasn’t fought since 2016 but brings his impressive 31 fight resume with him to Montgomery.
Matchmaker David Elder is excited, rightfully so, for this fight. He told us this:
“This is the biggest fight that Strike Hard has ever had. We are proud to have both of these men working with the B2 Fighting Series and Strike Hard Productions to try and reach the championship levels. We are excited to be able to host this for the fans and for the fighters coming up.
Strike Hard 55 is shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year, and it’s only March. The event takes place on March 28th in Montgomery, AL. Stay close for more on this event. For more information and tickets please visit. www.strikehard.net
