Ohio Combat League I
Ohio’s newest promotion debuts tonight, as Ohio Combat League I goes down at Express Live in Columbus.
In the main event, Travis Davis (6-3) will take on Tavae Lewis (3-2) in a middleweight bout.
Davis will be in familiar territory headlining an event in Columbus. His first six pro bouts all took place at Express Live, and he posted a 5-1 record in those bouts. He comes in looking to snap a two-fight losing streak for the first time in his career, as he’s dropped back to back bouts against UFC veteran Dom Steele and Josh Fremd. Five of his wins are via submission, and he’s ranked as the No. 5 pro middleweight in Ohio according to Tapology.
Lewis comes in from Southern Illinois looking to make it two wins in a row in Columbus. He submitted boxer turned MMA fighter Brian Holstein in the first round at Iron Tiger 86 in March, and all three of his wins are via submission. He’s also won three of his last four bouts.
In the co-main event, lightweights will square off as Jake Miller (4-1) takes on Devoniere Jackson (6-7).
Columbus native Miller comes in off of a first round submission over Carlos Garnett at Iron Tiger 86 in March, and he’s ranked as the No. 4 pro lightweight in Ohio.
Jackson fights out of Iowa under UFC fighter Erik Koch and has earned five of his six wins via stoppage, including three submissions. He comes in looking to rebound from a TKO loss due to a knee injruy from August 2018.
Phillips, Davis’ teammate at Ronin Training Center, looks to rebound from his first loss as a pro. After a TKO and knockout in his first two outings, he lost a decision against Robert Gidron at Iron Tiger 84 last October.
Ralston hails from Tennessee and is 2-3 in his last five bouts. Most recently, he earned a decision win over James Horne at V3 Fights 71 in November.
Pfeiffer fights out of Strong Style MMA Northeast Ohio and looks for his second straight win after topping Stephen Defalle at Honor FC 3 in March 2018.
Garnett looks to rebound from a loss against Miller at Iron Tiger 86 in March.
Seven amateur bouts are also set for the event, including featherweights Skyler Bray (4-2) vs. Cody Kessinger (9-5), and a 195-pound catchweight contest featuring Taylor Adair (2-1) vs. Isaiah Margheim (2-1).
The event streams live on FloCombat and the action beings at 8pm ET.
