Yesterday the four professional fights scheduled to compete tonight at Ohio Fighting Championship 22 in Columbus, Ohio stepped on the scale. All four of the fighters made weight. The amateur fighters will hit the scales before the event today.
One of the more intriguing match-ups of the evening will pit Canada’s own Aaron Jeffrey against the hometown favorite Matt Anderson. Making his professional debut, Jeffrey was on an eight-fight winning streak which included a win over Bryan Howe to win the promotions amateur middleweight title. This will not be the first time that Anderson meets a Team Ascension fighter. In his debut bout, he met one of a teammate of Jeffreys- Matt DiCenso. That particular bout did not go well for Anderson, who now looks to revenge that loss against tonight when he meets Jeffrey.
In the other bout, we will see Zack Cook take on Josh Hilliard. After both had successful amateur careers, each one posted a loss in their professional debut bouts. They both will steps into the cage for their sophomore bouts looking to capture their first win. Expect each of these fighters to bring everything they have to cage as neither one wants to open their professional careers 0-2.
The action kicks off at the Northland Performing Arts Center at 7:00PM EST, with the doors opening up at 6:00PM EST. We will be on-hand bringing you all of the coverage from the event as it goes down. The rest of the event’s fight card can be viewed here.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online, or you can wait to get them at the door. For those unable to attend the event, the promotion will stream the event live on Go Fight Live TV (GFL) for only $14.99.
