Joey Munoz vs Mark Cherico
Cherico will headline the upcoming 247 FC: Brawl in the Burgh II card on Nov. 16 just outside Pittsburgh against veteran Joey Munoz (7-5). The 160-pound catchweight bout will be three rounds.
“The Pride of Bloomfield” fights for the first time since coming up short on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2017. The 33-year-old has stayed busy since then, with his wife having twins last year, going through injuries, and cornering his teammate Khama Worthy in his UFC debut last month. He’s also had a few trips to Disney to top it all off.
Munoz returns to Pittsburgh from Nebraska for his second crack at taking down a Pittsburgh fighting legend, as he lost a decision against Worthy in the promotion’s debut main event in April. He since lost another bout against 60-fight veteran Alonzo Martinez in May, and he has won just one of his last five bouts after starting off his career with a 6-1 mark.
As we reported on BluegrassMMA earlier this week, the Brawl in the Burgh II co-main event will feature a featherweight title bout between Ethan Goss and John De Jesus.
