Isaiah Chapman vs Tobiaus Taylor
A professional bantamweight title fight is set for the upcoming Honor Fighting Championship 10 card, as Isaiah Chapman (8-3) and Tobiaus Taylor (3-2) will square off for the 135-pound crown at Fight Night Nautica 2 on August 24 in Cleveland.
Both fighters have strong ties to Northeast Ohio and have spent much of their careers fighting in the area. The 29-year-old Chapman made his amateur debut in 2009 and won two amateur titles fighting for the NAAFS promotion. Taylor made his amateur debut in 2013 and won an NAAFS title a year later.
Chapman has just two fights in the past three years, but both are wins under the Honor FC banner. Most recently, he submitted Donnie Ballou with a guillotine choke in the first round at Honor FC 8 in March. “The Beast” is ranked as the No. 2 pro bantamweight in Ohio according to Tapology.
Taylor has righted the ship on his pro career with three straight wins after starting off 0-2. Most recently he submitted Shawn Rall via guillotine choke in the first round at WFC 99 in February. “Freight Train” is ranked as the No. 5 pro bantamweight in Ohio.
