HRMMA has announced a trio of professional title fights on the books for this year. The first being a lightweight title defense for champ Ruben Warr (12-10). Warr defeated Sean Fallon for the championship at HRMMA 105. He will return at HRMMA 110 and meet Indiana’s Andrew Holbrook (12-3). Holbrook is a five time UFC veteran with a 2-3 promotional record. His last fight was back in 2017, a loss to Thibault Gouti. Warr has won seven of his last nine fights with four of those fights being for titles.
That fight will take place on Saturday August 17th in Shepherdsville, KY.
The first HRMMA Heavyweight professional title will be up for grabs in October when the promotion returns to Covington. Harry Hunsucker (4-2) will meet Tony Parker (15-17) for the title at large. Hunsucker has been impressive as he comes into the fight riding a three fight winning streak with three straight first round wins. Hunsucker has looked sharp and is deserving of the chance. Parker was last in action last June where he scored a win over Raleigh Abbott. Parker has been a staple on the local MMA scene, starting his career back in 2010. The 35 year old has fought in multiple weight classes and like Hunsucker can finish fights.
The third title fight pits champ vs champ as bantamweight champion Jeremy Pender meets flyweight champ Donnie Ballou. Ballou evened the score with Robert Walker back in in February after their previous fight ended with Ballou injured. Their second meeting saw Ballou finish Walker with a rear naked choke in the first round. Pender also defeated Walker for the bantamweight title last October in a very similar performance.
