Genia Goodin makes pro debut for Invicta FC

Kentucky’s Genia Goodin will make her professional debut tonight for Invicta FC in Kansas City. Goodin had a dominant run as an amateur with a perfect 8-0 record. She started fighting back in 2015 and is a HRMMA veteran with a big win at HRMMA 100 back in August of 2018. She is a finisher with six of her eight wins coming by stoppage. According to Tapology she is the number one ranked female fighter in Kentucky.

Goodin heads into her debut after notching back to back decision wins, her last being a unanimous decision in December. She will meet Valerie Wong who is also making her professional debut. Wong fought mostly for King of the Cage as an amateur. Wong is 1-1-1 in her last three fights, most recently winning last April over Tiffany Conama at King of the Cage in California.

Invicta FC 35 takes place tonight at Memorial Hall in Kansas City. The event will be streamed on UFC Fight Pass and will be headlined with a flyweight bout between DeAnna Bennett and Karina Rodriguez.
