The planned main event for tonight’s Honor FC: Fight Night Nautica 2 has been cancelled, as Carl Deaton III failed to make weight for his featherweight title bout against Josh Rohler.
According to officials, Deaton missed weight for the 145-pound bout by nine pounds after traveling from Florida on Thursday for the event.
Rohler, a fan favorite who had sold a good amount of tickets for the event, expressed his disappointment at the cancellation of the bout.
Rohler continues to have trouble finding opponents, and the bout was his first scheduled since he traveled to Atlantic City in June 2018 to earn a first round TKO over BJ Young at Ring of Combat 63.
With the cancellation, a welterweight title bout between Andrew Law and Aaron Highbaugh has been promoted to the new main event, while the bantamweight title bout between Isaiah Chapman and Tobiaus Taylor will be the new co-feature.
All other fighters in the four remaining pro bouts made weight for the event.
Fight Night Nautica 2 takes place at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Cleveland, Ohio.
