Robins looks to put an exclamation point on what has already been a banner year in 2019 for him. The American Killer Bees product fights out of Cleveland, Tennessee, and is 4-0 with all four wins via stoppage this year. He has four of his wins via first round knockout or TKO, and most recently submitted Adam Denton with a toe hold at VFC 61 in July.
Alexander will be a big step up in competition, as his first five opponents had a combined record of 8-9 overall. He’s ranked as the No. 5 pro lightweight in Tennessee according to Tapology.
“This is by far the biggest fight of both of our careers,” Robins told BluegrassMMA. “I think this will have a tremendous effect on both of our careers. Charlie’s got a lot of hype around his name, as do I, so I can’t wait to see what happens next. I don’t see the fight going any kind of way other than me having my hand raised in the end. I’ve trained for 13 weeks for Charlie so I am prepared to strike or grapple with him.”
The Nashville native Alexander has been hot as well as of late, winning a pair of bouts under the Attitude MMA banner this year. After a submission over Adam Denton in April, he topped Bobby Taylor via decision in July.
“It’s gonna be a big fight, we are two of the top prospects in this region,” Alexander said. “He’s getting a lot of hype behind him but I’m all about locking down the hype train.”
This is also a step up in competition for him, as his opponents have had a combined 11-18 record. He’s ranked as the No. 16 pro lightweight in Tennessee.
