Dalton Rosta, Steve Mowry, Isaiah Chapman
Dalton Rosta continues his rise up the rankings at Bellator 231 over the weekend, as the Pennsylvania native moved to 2-0 with a second round TKO victory over Claude Wilcox (1-1).
Rosta was dominant throughout the fight, proving to be a mismatch against the late replacement Wilcox. Still just 23 years old, it appears as though Bellator is grooming him to eventually be a contender in their deep 205-pound division.
“He has a strong chin that’s for sure,” Rosta told MMA Junkie after the fight. “I hit him with a couple of heavy shots and he didn’t go down. A couple of them I caught him on, I dazed him and hit him with two or three more right after that and he didn’t fall. I was a little surprised about that.
“Coming back off of that, I feel like I did well. Transitioning from my wrestling to my striking and putting everything together pretty well to get the win.”

Heavyweight Steve Mowry, a Pennsylvania native who now lives and trains in Florida, moved his record to 7-0 and his Bellator MMA record to 2-0 with a second round kimura submission victory over Gokhan Saricam (4-1).

As a late replacement for Dominic Mazzotta, Isaiah Chapman (9-4) came up short against Patrick Mix (12-0) at Bellator 232 on Saturday night.
Also in action over the weekend was Ohio native Jeff Hughes (10-3), who came up short against Raphael Pessoa (10-1) at UFC on ESPN+ 20 in Singapore. Hughes has now lost two in a row after earning a UFC contract last year.
