Alfred Leisure vs Corey Dulaney
The bout was a rematch from their boxing bout in August, which Leisure won via TKO.
Both fighters traded big shots on the feet in the first round, but Dulaney landed a big slam midway through the round and kept the fight on the mat for the rest of the frame.
Much of the second round was spent in the clinch against the cage, with both fighters trading position. Leisure went for a flying triangle with his back against the cage, but Dulaney ended up in his guard, where he did some damage from the top. A nasty mouse opened up under the left eye of Leisure as Dulaney reined down heavy blows from the top. Leisure looked to play a high guard and work off of his back, but the top pressure from the former state qualifier wrestler Dulaney was too much.
Leisure landed a Hail Mary uppercut to start the third round, and it looked like the referee was close to stopping the bout. But Dulaney recovered and somehow ended up on top in Leisure’s guard. Both fighters were busted open at this point, and Leisure was finally able to land a sweep to end up on top. He reined down some heavy blows looking for the finish, but was unable to get the stoppage for the final bell.
The scorecards were tallied after the bout, and Dulaney took home a split decision with scores of 28-29, 29-28, and 29-28.
