Colosseum Combat XLVII
Colosseum Combat XLVII is less than two weeks away, and promoter Mark Slater has released the entire fight card for the event, which features five pro bouts and an amateur title bout between Jordan Zawahri and Gavin Agnew.
In the night’s main event, James Porter (7-4) will square off against Michael Shields (4-8). Other pro bouts include Terry House Jr. (7-12) vs. Sean Fallon (7-5), Aaron Highbaugh (6-3) vs. Tavae Lewis (2-1), Ryan McIntosh (17-30) vs. Christopher Blevins (2-6), and Jonathan Griffin (0-0) vs. Cody Schieve (0-0).
Porter competes for the first time in more than three years as he looks to snap a three-fight losing streak. After starting his career 7-1, he lost to current UFC fighter Sergio Pettis and former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt, as well as veteran Jeremy Pender.
After just two wins in his first ten bouts, Sheilds has reeled off back-to-back wins over Cody Gabelman and Jamal Mohammed, both via first round stoppage.
Fallon looks to extend his four-fight winning streak when he faces House, who looks for his first win since 2016.
Highbaugh looks to stop the bleeding after three straight losses, while Lewis looks for his third straight win in 2018.
McIntosh has been to a decision just once in his 47 career fights, and he looks for his second win of the year against Blevins, who looks to snap a five-fight losing streak.
Griffin and Schieve make their respective pro debuts after extensive amateur careers, as Griffin posted an 8-6 record while Schieve had a 6-9 mark.
Headlining the amateur portion of the show will be a middleweight title bout, as Zawahri (5-0) looks to remain unbeaten against Agnew. Zawahri has four TKO wins, and most recently picked up the Hardrock MMA welterweight title with a decision over Alex Hacker earlier this year. Agnew (9-7) competes in his sixth amateur title fight and looks for his third promotional title after previously winning gold in the C4FC and Hardrock MMA promotions.
