Colosseum Combat 50 gets new main event

The Colosseum Combat 50 card has a little shake up at the top as the James Porter and Lloyd Carter fight has been scrapped and Garrett Gross vs. Sean Fallon gets promoted to main event.

Sean Fallon (10-6) returns to Kokomo after a win over Daniel Head back in May. This will be Fallon’s fourth fight of the year and third straight under the Colosseum Combat banner. Fallon hasn’t lost inside of Mark Slater’s cage since 2015. Sean has always been tough with six of his wins coming by submission. He is fun to watch and it makes sense to have him in the headliner against a tough opponent in Garrett Gross (11-7).

Gross has sat out the better part of a year since losing at Dana White’s Contender Series last July. Prior to that he was on an impressive four fight winning streak and had won five of his last six including a victory at Bellator 145. He and Fallon match up well in the experience column and Gross has 10 wins by stoppage .

Jose Rodriguez (0-0) will make his professional debut after a 5-1 amateur stint. Rodriguez has won back to back fights under the HRMMA banner including their lightweight title. He is stepping in to fill a vacancy against Keair Ross (2-2). Ross was undefeated as an amateur and comes in following a victory over Jonathan Griffin in May. Ross has fought all of his professional bouts for Colosseum Combat.

Mark Slater is excited for his 50th event and thinks everyone involved will come away from Kokomo with a good experience.

“This is a huge milestone for Colosseum Combat. We have put together a great event for the fans and fighters alike. We are very excited for this event and what’s to come”

Colosseum Combat 50 takes place this Saturday at the Kokomo Events and Conference Center. Stay close to BluegrassMMA for more.
