A total of four pro bouts are set for WFC 99, which takes place on Feb. 23 at the Hard Rock Rocksino in Northfield, Ohio just outside of Cleveland.
A three-time Bellator veteran and former NAAFS champion, Caraballo looks for his first win since 2014 as he attempts to stop a three-fight losing skid. Caraballo submitted Castillo in their first meeting at NAAFS: Fight Nite in the Flats VIII in 2012, but dropped a split decision in the rematch at IT Fight Series 78 in December 2017. This will be his first fight since that bout, as he looks to earn a victory for the first time since topping Cody Stevens at NAAFS: Rock N Rumble 8 in 2014.
Castillo himself looks to halt a two-fight losing streak, as his only win in his last six bouts was the victory over Caraballo in 2017.
Also set for WFC 99 is a pro welterweight bout featuring J.T. Miller (3-2) vs. P.J. Cajigas (7-8).
A Cleveland cop, Miller competes for the first time since suffering at submission loss against Tilek Mashrapov at RFO: Big Guns 24 in June 2017. The Strong Style Fight Team product has earned two of his three wins via submission.
Cajigas comes in from the Chicago area having posted wins in seven of his last ten outings. After starting his career with five straight losses, he’s produced seven stoppage wins, including six inside the first round.
Ohio’s top-ranked pro light heavyweight will also be in action, as Aleksa Camur (4-0) takes on Missouri’s Tra’Von Butler (2-0). And at bantamweight, Northeast Ohio natives will square off when Tobiaus Taylor (2-2) takes on Shawn Rall (2-3).
