Bluegrass Brawl 12

Bluegrass Brawl is preparing for their return and 12th event in just a few weeks. Earlier today the Lexington based promotion released their fight card and I had to do a double take. Listed as of now is 20 bouts on the card including three professional and two women’s bouts. Bluegrass Brawl 12: Brawl for the Cure. Tommy Ray Cornett and company have partnered with the local Susan G. Komen affiliate to help battle cancer.

The professional fights will consist of a 180 pound catch weight tangle between Ben Sergent (1-0) and Michael Cockerham (5-8). Portland Pringle (4-1) will meet Randy Jones (2-2) and rounding out that side of the card will be Jordan Espinoza (3-2) welcoming back Robert Browning (1-2) to the cage. All but Browning have stayed active over the last couple of years but he hasn’t fought since May of 2011.

Bluegrass Brawl 12 will take place on May 9th at Heritage Hall in Lexington. Stay close to BluegrassMMA (www.bluegrassmma.com) for more on these fights. Here is a look at the fight card, subject to change.
