Valor Fighting Challenge returns to Soddy Daisy, Tennessee this weekend, as VFC 64: Fight Night at Soddy Daisy goes down on Saturday. The fight card features three pro fights, as well as two amateur title fights – one in MMA and one in Muay Thai.
Heavyweight Billy Swanson (1-1) is set for the main event, as the Soddy Daisy native takes on Atlanta’s Terrance Hodges (2-5). The co-main event features light heavyweights Ian Stephens (4-0) and Eric Olsen (1-2).
After a TKO win over John Hall in his pro debut, Swanson dropped his second bout via TKO against Harry Hunsucker in January. He’s ranked as the No. 6 pro heavyweight in Tennessee according to Tapology.
Hodges trains at the American Top Team affiliate in Atlanta, and he has won back-to-back fights after starting off his pro career 0-5. Most recently, he stopped Conway Beaudry via TKO at NFC 120 in August. He’s ranked as the No. 7 pro heavyweight in Georgia.
A native of Chattanoooga, Stephens competes for the first time since 2013, when he was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 19. After a win over Lyman Good on the show, he lost his next bout against Roger Zapata. This will be his first non-exhibition bout since 2012, when he submitted Ronnie Rogers at a 3FC event.
Stephens will face New York’s Olsen, a Bellator veteran who comes in of of a win over John Hall at VFC 59 in May.
A third pro bout will feature Roy Sanders (2-15) against Greg Hopkins (1-0).
