Bizzarro Promotions returns to Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pennsylvania, as Bayfront Brawl 9 will take place on Thanksgiving Eve.

In the main event, Josh Rohler (5-2) will square off against Antonio Castillo Jr. (10-13).

Rohler hasn’t fought since June of last year. He has had three fights scheduled this year but his opponents have failed to make the weight requirement for the last two and the fights were scratched. He has won three of his last four with all five wins coming by stoppage including four submissions. His last outing was for Ring Of Combat where he secured a first round TKO over BJ Young in New Jersey. He’s ranked as the No. 3 pro featherweight in Ohio according to Tapology.

Castillo has been much more active than Rohler but has failed to secure a win since 2017. His last three fights were under the CES banner including a bout against current Bellator lightweight Nick Newell. Castillo has won one in his last seven but continues to push forward and stay busy. At one point he had a stretch of five straight wins. He has been a professional since 2010 and has wins over Frank Caraballo and Matt DiMarcantonio.

In the co-main event, longtime Bizzarro Promotions participant Jeremiah Yeager (5-9) will once again compete in his hometown when he faces Jason Mullen (1-1).

Yeager had been 4-0 under the Bayfront Brawl banner until a submission loss against Izzy William at Bayfront Brawl 7 earlier this year. He has all five of his wins via stoppage, including three submissions.

Mullen was victorious in his pro debut with a submission over Ardit Hysa, but he came up short in his second pro bout with a submission loss against Fadi Shuman at WFC 109 in July. He’s ranked as the No. 11 pro featherweight in Ohio.

On the amateur side of the card, Logan Thompson (4-1) will defend his middleweight title for the first time against unbeaten Jacob Lowry (5-0). Thompson won the title with a TKO over DJ Jacobucci at Bayfront Brawl 7 and is ranked as the No. 5 amateur middleweight in Pennsylvania.

Lowry comes in off of a win over John Leancu at WFC 109 in July, and he has three stoppage wins. He’s ranked as the No. 1 amateur middleweight in Pennsylvania and the Northeast.

Also, William Ferguson (6-3) and Darnell Truett (5-4) will do battle for the super lightweight (165 pounds) title. Ferguson is the No. 5 amateur lightweight in Ohio while Truett has won his last two bouts.
